Daniel
and
Amanda
invite you to share in their joy
when they exchange marriage vows
on December 24th, 2003
at three o'clock in the afternoon
on a secluded beach in Tulum, Mexico
Preferred Wedding Attire:
Since the wedding is on the beach*, we
are asking that all our family and friends wear special
wedding attire to fit within our wedding theme.
- black and white (and anything between)
"beach" semi-formal attire (ie. no hawaii shirts or
shorts please)
- for men, light open and/or linen shirts - no ties
or jackets necessary
- for women, an evening or day dress and/or wrap with
a shawl
- the bride will be wearing a custom made creme designer
dress
- the groom will be wearing something loose and semi-formal
- the wedding party has reversed non-traditional roles
(you'll see)
- no sandals or shoes on the beach for the ceremony
please
- ceremony will occur ocean side late afternoon and
carry over to a nice tropical meal and reception...
steps away... rolling into the evening.
Black & White (with 'earthy' inbetween) colour
palette ideas:

* note: bring suntan lotion, a hat, and
bug spray (and possibly a small pocket light) as it
may get cool in the evening. We will arrange for transportation
to and from the ceremony, and we will have a couple
reserved beach cabanas available for those who would
like to stay the night under the stars right beside
the ocean.
We know this is in the tropics, and we expect the
weather to be warm (ie. 25-30 degrees). Since we are
ocean side, and in a very rustic setting, and will be
on the sand in the sun for the ceremony, you should
wear what is appropriate and comfortable (ie. remember,
the evening may be cool).
Most importantly, you should be comfortable dressed
and relaxed. If you plan on joining us on the beach
without shoes you should wear something comfortable
on your feet you can remove and put back on later for
the evening party.
As a note, everyone to be getting ready in Playa Del
Carmen and will be transported by air-conditioned mini-bus
to the cabanas in Tulum where the ceremony and reception
will be. Can't stress enough, this eco-resort in Tulum
is 'rustic' so you should be dressed semi-formal/casual
comfortable, but NOT overdressed - this is important
as it may be hot then cool when the sun goes down.
